Any questioning of the "victims" story, or motivation, or inconsistencies is immediately attacked by supporters as bullying, and the very reason why sexual assault victims so rarely come forward when the assault occurs.
It is little more than trial by media, it is character assassination at it's most basic.
We saw it with Kavanaugh.
We've seen it with Trump.
And others.

It always plays out pretty much the same; The allegation that media slobbers over. The denial that everyone scoffs at. The "analysis" (both in support of and in denial of the allegation by so called "experts"). Almost without exception, the allegation is never resolved, either way. It just lies there in the dirt of media froth, to be resurrected as needed, you know, to assassinate the character of the parties as necessary.

There is nothing for it but to let it play out, and then move onto more important matters.
