Have you had chicken pox?

 

I had chicken pox. The vacation wasn’t a thing yet. My mom purposely exposed myself and both sisters at a young age to get it over with. My son was vaccinated so he’s never had them and hopefully won’t.

 

I had them, along with all of my siblings, after my oldest sister got them first. She was the only one who was over them in time for Halloween, and we were all pissed off because she was the only one who got to wear her costume and go trick-or-treating. I harassed her every Halloween for ruining things for us, and now she sends me a box of candy every Halloween!

Never had a single childhood disease. Theoretically, I think not having had chicken pox means I'm not a candidate for shingles (but my roof seems to be holding up pretty well).

 

Yes I did. And have a few scars from scratching them. But I'm not posting a picture because I supposedly fake pictures now.

 

I needed to de-tox after catching the pox so I went down to the docks to pick up my box of clocks and socks. The guys at the desk were dumb as box of rocks but I still thought maybe I'd suck their cocks. Instead, I waited by the stocks and ate a bagel with lox. Yes, when I was in 3rd grade. There was no vaccination for it then.

I didn't get my daughter vaccinated, as when I had looked into it, it was said that if you get vaccinated as a child,
you can still get the chicken pox as an adult, which is much worse. So, she did get the chicken pox as a child too,
and it's done

I did catch a lot of hell from the "other mothers" over it, but, oh well

 

I got it in my early forties and I was like wtf is going on .Never had it as a child though and never knew you could get it later in life but hopefully no more for me

 

Yep, got the pox as a kid, and the shingles vaccine as an adult.

As the youngest of 13 (nine still at home) eight boys in the same bedroom, you better believe I got it as a kid. Also measles, mumps, whooping cough and a spate of dyptheria.

 

I had chicken pox in elementary school. The vaccine had not yet been developed. It was not bad compared to the colds I got. I had asthma as a child so colds were really bad. I could hardly breathe for days. With chicken pox, I was only itchy. I could breathe fine.

I haven't yet got vaccinated for shingles, but I intend to in the next few years.

Had chicken pox when I was 6. My older brother would tease me and call me Pox and cluck like a chicken at me so I would tackle him hoping he would catch it. About a week after I had it he caught it too. I wasn't smart enough to come up with any new names to call him so I'd follow him around saying, bawk bawk bawk
