George Hantzaras

George is a distributed systems expert and a hands-on engineering leader with focus on delivering Enterprise cloud services at scale. He is a Director of Engineering at MongoDB, focusing on implementing cloud native technologies at enterprise scale. He is also a Managing Partner at Algorythm (wearealgorythm.com), a boutique innovation and startup consulting firm, and has led large scale transformation projects for enterprise and government customers. Previously, he was a Director of Cloud Platform Engineering, at Citrix Systems, leading the company’s cloud transition. In 2017 he co-founded Tradeline, a SaaS startup that disrupted the way global commodity trading works and was an innovator in enterprise blockchain technologies. In the past, he has worked as a venture partner for venture capital firms in the United Kingdom and Greece and currently is an advisor to early-stage startups, with a focus on cloud infrastructure products and enterprise SaaS. Most recently, he has been a speaker at global events like OpenSource Summit, Hashiconf, LeadDev, DeveloperWeek, and more, focusing on agile leadership, scaling engineering teams, and entrepreneurship.
